Game Recap

Cottonwood Colts Varsity and Taylorsville volleyed the lead five times on Tuesday, but Cottonwood Colts Varsity came out on top for a 5-3 win on Tuesday at Taylorsville.

Cottonwood Colts Varsity pulled out the win thanks to a strong seventh inning. Cottonwood Colts Varsity went up for good on an RBI single by Ben Atkinson off Pulcifer, plating Jacoby Cosby.

Chris Rowan got a hit in each of his two at bats. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Wil Jensen worked out of three difficult moments for Cottonwood Colts Varsity. He pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs on five hits. Jensen faced his trickiest spot in the sixth inning.

Cole Fivecoat couldn’t get it done on the bump for Taylorsville , taking a loss. He lasted just 6 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs.

Two runs gave Cottonwood Colts Varsity a leg up after neither team scored for most of the game. Cottonwood Colts Varsity scored on and an RBI double by Hayden Cooper.

Cottonwood Colts Varsity didn’t give up the lead after the seventh inning. Additional runs came from an RBI single by Cosby.
